Getting Turkish Visa is Easy for Iraqi Businessmen

The Visa obligation due to the refugee problem is now resolved between Turkey and Iraq for businessmen momentarily.

Turkey required Iraqi citizens due to the refugee problem in Europe. Turkey has put an obligation to obtain a visa to avoid more refugees from Iraq. There was an average of 2.500 Iraqi tourists daily arrival to Turkey before visa obligations settled on 10.January.2016. The number had decreased to 200 tourists per day in March.

Iraq Businessmen Gets Visa for Turkey Easier

Vice Manager of DEIK's Turkish-Iraqi Business Council Emin Taha said; "Visa obligation causes the decrease of the trade volume with Iraq. Visa application easiness is brought to Iraqi businessman yesterday to improve trade again between Iraq and Turkey. Many sectors like health, tourism, real estate, textile, and food export were negatively affected in 43 days period. There is a trading loss of 800 million USD monthly. Iraq businessmen have added plus value to the Turkish economy previously. We expect 1 billion USD trade capacity in April between our countries."

How to Get Visa as Iraqi Businessmen

Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has supplied a special privilege for Iraqi businessmen. You may apply to the Turkish-Iraqi Business Council Office of DEIK or the Turkish Airlines ticket sales office in Baghdad.
