Turkish Citizenship Property Purchasing Limit is Now 400.000 USD

The minimum property purchasing limit for Turkish Citizenship by investment is officially increased to 400.000 USD from 250.000 USD with the decision published in the Official Gazette on May 13, 2022.

In January 2017, the Turkish Government announced a new way to the acquisition of Turkish citizenship for foreigners: Property investment. The minimum purchasing price for the Turkish citizenship program was determined as 1.000.000 USD at that time.

Turkish Citizenship Property Purchasing Limit is Now 400.000 USD A new regulation made in 2018 stated that the minimum property purchasing amount to get Turkish Citizenship was reduced to 250.000 $. Because of the severe increase in the property values in Turkey due to the high demand, the minimum property purchasing limit was raised to 400.000 $ or equivalent foreign exchange at the Presidential Cabinet Meeting held on April 12.

There is also a condition to submitting a statement that declares the property which was purchased for Turkish citizenship cannot be sold or transferred to another person for 3 years.

The decision is formally published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey today. The article states that the new regulation for buying property in Turkey and citizenship will be effective from June 13, 2022. The minimum property worth for Turkish citizenship will remain at 250.000 USD until June 13, 2022.
