New Antalya-Alanya Road Project Officially Launched

On July 25, 2025, the construction of the Antalya Alanya highway officially began with a groundbreaking ceremony in Manavgat. The new road will make travel between Antalya and Alanya much faster and easier, helping to improve transport across the region.

The new road will allow quicker and easier trips between Antalya and AlanyaThe Antalya Alanya motorway 2025 will span a total of 122 kilometers, consisting of 84 kilometers of main carriageway and 38 kilometers of connecting roads. The route begins at Serik Junction, passes through the districts of Serik and Manavgat along the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, and ends at Alanya West Junction near Konaklı.

As part of this Antalya Alanya expressway construction, the highway will include 7 junctions—namely Serik, Taşağıl, Manavgat, East Manavgat, Alarahan, Konaklı, and Alanya West—5 tunnels (4,365 meters total length), 16 viaducts (5,966 meters total), and 4 service facilities. The design speed has been set at 140 km/h for the main road and 110 km/h for the connecting roads, ensuring faster and safer journeys.

With this new highway between Antalya and Alanya, travel time will be significantly reduced. The current Antalya to Alanya road route, which takes approximately 2.5 hours, will now take only 36 minutes. This means faster travel to Alanya from Antalya Airport, offering a smoother experience for both residents and tourists.

According to official projections, the economic benefits of the Antalya Alanya motorway are substantial. The new road is expected to deliver 17.7 billion lira savings annually: 16.9 billion TL in time and 800 million TL in fuel, while also reducing carbon emissions by 47,000 tons per year. These savings demonstrate the project's long-term value in improving travel time from Antalya to Alanya and reducing environmental impact.

This major highway engineering Antalya to Alanya initiative also aims to enhance transportation between Antalya and Alanya, strengthening trade, logistics, and tourism links. The road will ultimately connect with other key networks such as the Denizli-Burdur-Antalya corridor, ensuring uninterrupted access from Antalya to İzmir, Istanbul, and the European highway system.
